are you sure the fan is blowing in the right direction?

Also CS:GO is not considered "load" for your grafics card. Every toaster will rech 60 fps easly. Run firestrike to test your GPU load temperatures and Cinebench 15 to test your CPU temps.

right but the difference in temperature is there
that's what im trying to point out
forget the test
the issue at hand is that with the new set up, the gfx is getting much hotter than before doing the same exact thing

set a fan curve

Can you please explain?
I have
1 rear exhaust
1 top exhaust
both fans on the heatsink moving air out the exhaust
So all air is going <^<<
I do have 2 extra fans that I can add to the front of the case, but I'm wondering if I should move the gfx to the upper PCI slot to create more airflow room below it since the room below is more narrow after the addition of the SSD

You should always run your vid card in the upper-most slot.

As for the GPU temps....

Quickie Guide to setting GPU fan speed with MSI Afterburner (free program)

In MSI afterburner...

1. Just to the right of the fan speed slider... un-click the Auto
2. Then, move the slider to 40-60% or until the noise gets on your nerves :)
3. Then click: Apply
4. Then a tad further left, click: Apply overclocking at system startup

Will give it a go
Thanks a lot I will post results
Also, do you think that adding the ssd right below the gfx is causing the temperature increase by restriction or trapping airflow? maybe the extra fan on the heatsink is messing with the temps?
OH, if the speed/rpm of the rear/top exhaust fans are slower than the heatsink fans, would that affect airflow/temperature?
Thanks a lot for the help guys

So

Added 2 120mm fans to the front

a little bit noisier but with speakers or headphones on, its not noticeable
moved the graphics card up a slot as well

now working as intended

while playing cs go max settings
cpu : 35-38c
gpu : 50-60c

Thanks for the help guys

Also bought a new 1440p monitor to go along with the new build

https://www.asus.com/us/Monitors/PB258Q/

bought it for $264

looks good
Sadly, watching certain videos on youtube shows 1 good tear line, but no problems when playing games whatsoever

Does anyone know any good free calibration softwares?

Thanks for all the help guys

Can I ask why do you have your GPU in PCI-E 2.0 X 16 slot?

Single card should be in the top slot

edit: Reason why it was so hot was because it can't get enough airflow in the bottom of the case like that.

Edit #2 when using Afterburner you need to set a custom fan curve. Do NOT leave your fans running at 60% all the time. It wears them out too quickly.

yea im new to pc building so I didn't know
but as I stated, I moved the graphics card to the upper slot and now it's definitely running cooler
what should the custom fan curve settings be then?

also saw a gtx 970 hybrid for $50 more than my current card
I can still return mine to get that one
will it be worth it?

Custom curves can be whatever you want. You can tailor it to suit your needs.

Personally, I have mine set to reach 60% at temps of 70C + and when it hits 85C it will run to 100%

If you look at what I posted, the second slot isn't recommended for single card. Some boards won't post unless you have it set in BIOS because of this. believe me, Asus is finicky with that.
