Again, this is why you leave the building to people who actually know what you're doing.

You are not one of them.

show me something that proves you're right in games, believe me i'm trying to look and all i can find is what i'm saying, 6300 = 8530 in almost all games

If you can educate me, believe me, i'll enjoy it, but at the moment, those extra 2 cores are useless in a machine thats primary job is to game

If you want the thing for gaming only (no streaming, no rendering/editing work), go with this:

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/cLzfCJ

Intel quad-core build + R9 280; included a 128 GB SSD for OS + usual programs + probably your favorite game(s). Keep the case, RAM and HDD.
Otherwise, this:
Make sure to include an SSD. You will love it.

550W 80+ PSU will surely handle a stock i5 Haswell CPU + one R9 280 card.

I had some long and technical response, but read up on the FX-8320e, and figure out why WWI recommended it and why I support going this route.

And remember this: I never disagreed about the performance of the FX-6300 in gaming.

OP has FX 4100..why get 6core for 2 more cores with your logic? Might as well reuse the cpu.
I'd just suggest a ud3h mobo with msi 290x combo, 22 off, and 40mir atm. Then a new PSU, cooler and call it a day

Because the FX-4100 is a piece of shit. I'd take the 860k over it any day.

I'd love to hear it, my argument is based on single core performance and the fact that 6300 already has six. meaning in a gaming machine, much better performance.
and in my research, i found that fx-6300 has better single core....

If Dx12 does a great job or he's using it for more than just gaming, i'll agree, but untill then, 6300 > imo $45 could go in better areas

agreed on the 4100 comment btw, thing is bad :/

I'm sure you would, but read up on the FX-8320e. While you're at it, find out the next upgrade from the FX-6300.
