Doesnt save me time, if I'm not using it to full potential. For example, I only play cs/stream 1-2 hr a day. Only thing intel does for me is allowing me to play few extra seconds longer? Sure overtime, it'll add up to hours etc. But I gain no benefit from that cos it's not like the amount of extra hours adding up later will do anything. Whoo pee doo I get 1 extra kill or get rekt for the extra time saved.

However if I'm making a living off of making promo vids or something then hell yeee

sounds like a butt hurt excuse to justify your purchase

why would i be butthurt when i got both?
ur the one sounding butthurt cos ur using benchmarks that dun mean jack irl. Srsly? unzipping win7 while playback a movie? grats maybe it will save like 5 seconds of my time, and allow me to take dat sip of water on my table. thxmen
Time = blahblah paying for itself makes no sense to me for casual gamers like me.
my gf uses the amd, and i use the intel, we both play cs,
whooo totally earned dat $$$ back, cos i got to play few more seconds in teh warmup round each teim.
how do you profit for being able to stream/play games/listen to music few seconds more?? adding up to hours/days/months etc?

lol benchmarks are a waste cuz secksii says so

and multitasking is not a big deal, most people ONLY do one thing on their pc

if time isnt a big deal why use ssds, or why are they in majority of everyones computer

An average overclocked C2Q single core performance is on-par with the FX series chips single core performance. Throw down two decent C2Q's in an old skulltrail rig and overclock them a fair bit and it's still better than AMD's FX line, even being ancient tech. Clock for clock, an older C2Q still wins.

-says a few seconds/minutes extra from having an intel cpu isnt worth it (whoop dee doo)
-has ssd to open programs .5-5seconds faster

fuck logic

or sounds like a shitty excuse to buy a shitty cpu n justify it

answer my q pls, how i profit? instead of dojing my q again.
never said benchmarks are a waste, benchmarking a win7 & playback movie is, not to mention it means jack all irl. how about an actual use of games/streaming? based on my unprofessional, real life experience, both AMD/Intel do well streaming/gaming/music/skype at the same time,
both feel smooth as shit, gg fps and does the shit it's supposed to do well.
would u really purchase a ram for $150 more bucks, if a benchmark graph bar showed huge shiny colorful bars when in reality you won't notice shit with your eyes?

as for the SSD, not everyone buys it for the speed? perhaps they want a lighter laptop? less power consumption? less heat? silence? for the big dik status? curiosity? finally afforadable to most ppl?
Unless, ofc ur 1 of those ppl that think not having SSD in a build will bottleneck the entire build

5 monitors btw
also that benchmark is for real world understanding of multitasking,
pretty much everyone multitasks on their pc even if its their "gaming" rig
those amds cant even keep up with older intel on simple multitasking, shows how horrible they are

Going to re open this discussion with another question,
How many cores do you guys look for in a cpu? It seems this bumps price from an acceptable 300-500$ range to 2-3k range

How important is a 12 core cpu vs your regular 4 or 6core?
ps i'm running a small country's space program off my new computer,
