Feel free to share your ideas.
  • I would have went SLI 570 cards but the one I wanted is sold out: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127564&cmre=570gtx--14-127-564--Product
  • I was considering any 6995 card but those too are sold out
  • 580 Card is $500 and should do pretty well. When I can't run max settings in a game, I'm ready for another. We'll see how BF3 does.
  • 120GB SSD is lightning quick for my OS and a few choice games
  • 600GB 10000RBM WD Drive "With 1.4 million hours MTBF, these drives have the highest available reliability rating on a high capacity SATA drive" http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136555
  • GIGABYTE MB is the only one out that does 2 @ x16 on PCIe 2.0. I will probably future upgrade to a 2nd SLI 580 Video Card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128499
  • PS is among the best for what I need & future expansion http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151102
  • Monitors I want
  • Wall Mounts a must
  • 16GB of RAM is overkill (probably only needed 8GB), but RAM is cheaper than hell. I'll also want more RAM if I go to a 2nd VC so why not get it now?
  • Blue Ray Burner is something I'm going to use for backing up HD home videos. I wanted a 2nd bay to play movies. The one that came for free I'm going to sell.
  • Sandy Bridge Processor is nice and I like the i7 Line
  • Case I had no clue what to get. I copied what someone else got and it had good reviews. (Remem that I don't want Neons, anything but black, etc. No attention to be drawn to it)

That psu will not run two 580s and the rest of your system. They recommend 950 for dual 580s due to the draw on the cards.

I saw system builds using 2x 580s with the PS I have on tomshardware

There's your problem. Toms is a horrible review site.

Dude no way will that psu support two 580s. Need at least 100w more.

Each one consumes about 360w. So 720 for two. Leaving only 130 for the rest of ur system. Not happening.

SSD
well.. if thats your choice

WD 600GB HDD
as far as i know wd uses 2 platters and samsung uses a single, less platters more reliable, the fact that it costs 250 dollars is fucking laughable id be seriously disgusted with you if you bought it

pcie 2.0 x 16 (x2)
not as important as you might think, id be more interested in extra phases but i think gigabyte is the right route

case
ft02 is the best case on the market, seriously

i really like the psu you picked out, gold rating will save you money and seasonic means its super reliable but 850 probably wont cut it, even if it works you have no overhead for overclocking anything
