All depends on what you want. Generally speaking, Intel > AMD cpu's for gaming since most games don't need that many cores, and it all comes down to clock speed. Nvidia > AMD for gpu's since AMD gpu's are really good at mining and are super price inflated right now. (for what it's worth, I'm actually an AMD person, but it's the cold hard truth).
DDR4 ram speed actually has an impact on performance, more so on AMD than Intel tho.
CD drives aren't a thing anymore, but USB C is taking off.
