I want to say the 6700k was a bit better. Having a hard time remembering. I only played 1080p for a little bit on the 1600. Mostly at 1440p towards the end of the 6700k time.

it should've been a lot better, especially if you overclocked your 6700k

The prebuilt link I gave you is insane value in the current gpu climate. I think it's the best option if you want something that will work, have a warranty, and will perform well at 1080p right now. It also comes with a mouse and keyboard.

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/dLb6hy - just under $600 USD
Does NOT include mouse/keyboard as they don't really impact game performance and are higher based on personal preference. I would look at brands Corsair, Razer, Logitech, and Steelseries for those. Just decide what you want and do some research and make your decision based on that. Personally I have a Corsair keyboard with MX red switches and love it.

e/ The igpu will do fine in games like d2 and wow, and it can't utilize more than 2gb of ram, so 8 will get you by for now. Upgrade path I would recommend: Aftermarket CPU cooler (for overclocking potential) --> SSD --> 16gb ram --> Dedicated GPU.

Though if u want a strong upgradable pc go for coffee lake build

8100/8350k
Z370
8gb faster frq RAM if u plan on playing some indie craps
Budget GPU's (1030 GT)
550W 80+ bronze is fine

1030? did i read that correct, lol.

The intel g4560 is best budget cpu to pair with 1060 and under.
Minor bottle neck but allows future upgrades and you to invest into a real gpu not this 1030 bullshit.
