Because some people here have bought these things prior.
Thats why I wanted an opinion.

Im running with an older i7 4k but thats irrelevant because all my game setting lag comes from shading and lighting which is more gpu based.
I needed a faster card with more processing power.

Essentially I can have textures maxed but if I turn the shading and lighting up it lags to hell.

It's totally relevant and I'm not about to explain myself to you either, but fuck in for a penny in for a pound right?
well no, I'm not going to fucking bother as its a waste of my time. I mean you are here for help, maybe help us help you.

i am talking dx12 specifically not about 11 or 10 or 9. This API is the only one I know of that is only available on one operating system. I don't believe there will ever be a single non-microsoft title that only supports dx12, unless something miraculous happens and people suddenly start using windows 10 en masse.

I get that "you are the product" is the future of computing but imo win10 pushed for it too soon.

steam number 1 os guess windows 10 isnt the majority on it, xbox dx12
its not going anywhere for a long while and acting like its going to die soon is very ignorant

I didn't say it would die... where is that coming from? I did way it was DOA on page 1 but that was more directed towards w10 in general. I just mean i highly doubt we'll see it be the exclusively supported API any time soon or ever defeating the need to 'upgrade' to w10

I didn't have to look for articles to find ones that fit my narrative though, I just searched for "Windows 10 Creators Update".
If you look up flat earth without trying to force a bias in either direction you are heavily steered towards articles that denigrate the idea.
I don't know what Steam's top OS is and I don't care. Don't use that unnecessary drm bloatware shit, it's trading too much for simple convenience when I can just keep track of my own game copies.

Are we done here

Which thing am I wrong about? The first 2 lines are empirical fact the the third is just about 33% fact and 66% an opinion I hold, which can't be wrong on the grounds of its subjectivity, there's no right/wrong answer to whether or not steam is worth using.

this ghot guy must be pretty logical i guess?
