Stop telling people to go over budget. They list budget for a reason. Either adhere to it or stop offering advice.

You don't need to spend damn near $1500 for a decent PC.

Here man. Make the drive and get a hell of a bargain: http://www.microcenter.com/product/467635/G313_Desktop_Computer

I actually recommended this deal 1.5 week ago. Some who was no found on build his own system. It's a steal if you just want a working decent PC.

Piece by piece this would be 1080$ + windows.
Can't be 100% sure about every part so I went with the cheapest options avaliable with the correct specs.

Sure prebuilt pc has quite a bad reputation because of the overprice and often low end parts. Normally your would overpay 30% and get unknown brand psu, reference card and pretty much always none K cpu with lowest possible chipset.

But lately I've seen some pretty fair prebuilt. Specially here in Denmark there are multiple companies making PCs with great quality for only 5-10% of hardware parts retail price. When deals you would actually save money over building yourself. Brands like msi and asus got a bit better too with their pricing this generation.
Brands like Dell and lenovo still fucks you over. With insane prices and hard to upgrade.

I have a non modular PSU as well. Two of them in fact. Been running my PC(s) for a lot longer than that, with zero issues.
Definitely non-budget.

I had a prebuilt with a low end psu which lasted me for 6 years.
Q1 2008 i bought Q6600, GTX9800 on 1650p monitor for Crysis masterrace!
This PC was on pretty much 24/7 for 7 years.

The gpu gave up on me so I put in the oven 8minutes 200c and was able to use it for another 4 months.
Till I eventually bought my current system in 2015

Your sure?
Well then maybe OP should drive 150 miles to MC and get that sloppy $999 dollar thing with a non modular 500W PSU, that looks like it was built by a blind guy.
I mean I could find crappy prebuilts just as easily.
Wonder why I don't?

Maybe because I'm tired of seeing all the "why is my prebuilt having problems"...topics.

He didn't have to... I gave him the specs and he called the parts "crappy."
