Yeah but the fact that I will be using this headset for my xbox to talk in game to friends is why I would need one.

I understand Headphones are made with way better quality and its easier to buy a stand alone mic that would be nicer as well but I need them together.

Steelseries siberia looks like pretty good quality as well.

I completely understand. I was just pointing out the reason why we typically don't suggest, or offer advice on headsets. Especially since most of us here Use pc's exclusively.

Typically my go to recommendation for a headset, is the logitech g930, because its cheap & has decent reviews. But i dont think that works with an xbox1.

There are adapters that let you use a headphone/mic on a console though :P

Just get the $30 console branded headset they sell if you just need a garbled microphone to communicate on Xbox or whatever.

I would almost guarantee those Microsoft Xbox branded ones can be used on both PC and Xbox.

Microsoft branded has 7.1 surround sound, mic, comfortable, able to switch xbox/pc without moving around cords?

Turtle beaches are out of the question. They are junk.

Headsets that I know do all of the things I listed. A40s, A50s, Steelseries Siberia

If youve used any of them feel free to comment.

A40's... A50s need to be charged..
Bought Siberias and hated them Vs. A40's

A40 is clear choice. I got 2013 edition for 150$ on amazon. Love em. And I have audiophile headphone/ampdac for pure PC.

A40s have a battery you have to recharge and when the battery turns into junk you have to get a new headset.

Siberia you can change out the battery which would be a positive for me.

What was your reason for hating the Siberias over the A40s?

Im going to be trying them both on that will be the real test. How comfortable they are on my head.

What? A40's are wired bro... No batteries.. Same with siberias. Wired, no batteries.

The rechargeable ones are the a50's which I didn't recommend. I just didn't like the feel of the siberias. They felt cheap and were uncomfortable around my ears. They were round Vs. A40's being sort of rectangle.

Also you'd have to unplug your siberias every time you wanted to use them on Xbox /pc. Where my Astros play both and if I want solely one I just twist a dial. The mixamp ( the old stand alone one, not the one that plugs into your controller. ) really makes it the best of both worlds.
