This is WOW not those games.
wow last I checked used 2 cores not 4.
the games ancient as fuck.

Also hyper threading has been known to cause 2-15% drops in some games during benchmarks.

I think that reddit post holds some merit. I feel my 4690k struggling a bit in the bf1 beta and its at 4.7 ghz. And isn't one of the main advantages of dx12 the ability to utilize more threads?

Id say get the 6700k if you can

Its a beta game. its going to have bugs, it may help but only time will tell.
more or less calling out other dude saying wow is a factor for buying an i7.
Which is nonsense.

In the end op should invest that money into a gpu not the cpu if hes really aiming towards bf1.

Not really aiming towards BF 1 . but i at least wanna be able to play it steady on any setting . My Superclocked 970 is just fine

4790k with a nice cooler.

Buy it second hand and you'll be gucci if you're worried about a budget
