I'd have to be able to cut 50$ to make this build work unfortunately

Good luck. Cutting costs is easy. Living with the build you make...is the hard part. ;)

Any idea on wheres a good place/resource to look into overclocking. I have no idea how to OC or what I'm looking for. I'm just hoping this first build goes smoothly

You don't have to oc as soon as you get it. You can wait until you feel your performance is suffering or ur comp. When I got my 3570k, I overclocked it 6 months after I got it. Not cause I had to or anything but I was curious to see how high it could go :P

Been on 4.2ghz for a year and a half. Didn't go with a beast oc either. Just basic.

Look up mobo + CPU oc guide and you'll find one

Decided to take a hit and just go with the nitro 8gb version. Question for the boys, if I overclock my cpu to 4.4-4.5 and my gpu to around 1400 mhz I should still be safe psu wise right
