Yes the i5 is plenty good, but the point of the PSU is quality level not wattage. you can only determine quality by pretty much reading reviews from people with multi-thousand dollar tools for testing.
That psu again is fine, but if you want long term then you could do the GQ or GS as both are top rated units.

550 will last you just fine. But 650 will be a little more ideal as it would allow you to overclock anything in the future easily, and you ideally want to be using about 50-75% of your PSU's total wattage at max load.

Not over it, no.
All of those units are either just good enough for a relatively low power/non oc computer or non-recommend.

I'd get this
1st choice
http://www.ebuyer.com/730210-evga-750-gq-modular-gold-rated-80-power-supply-210-gq-0750-v3

2nd choice
http://www.ebuyer.com/746507-evga-super-nova-750-b2-750w-bronze-semi-modular-power-supply-110-b2-0750-v3

3rd chocie
http://www.ebuyer.com/730191-evga-650-gq-modular-gold-rated-80-power-supply-210-gq-0650-v3

those are the cheapest, best units available on that search you showed me.
If you really wanted to save 2.59 then get the 2nd choice. they are basically equivalent. the power savings different between gold rated and bronze rated is pretty much irrelevant, it's more marketing and does not signify quality in any way. But for 2.59 more than the B2, i kind of would just get it.
But i think the first choice is the best, simply because the cost difference between these units is so tiny.

just be certain to never re-visit the site and confuse these with the "nex" series of the same name, as they are actually not very good.

Trying to keep within the "budget" I took the TX3 out of the basket, and swapped the PSU for the 3rd choice you gave me (EVGA 650 GQ), and the total price has only gone up by £10. Will that PSU be good enough for some light overclocking and/or a future CPU/GPU upgrade or do I really need the 750w version for that?

Yes these are great quality so you can use them for anything.
You do not need the 750 Watts at all, i just only was getting it because it was just a few more dollars, and in general more watts is a nice luxury just in case, but it is in fact only a luxury. it may lead to quieter operation if you ever pushed a lot of watts

You do need the Cooler Master TX3 though.

does not.

haven't you used a stock cooler on an intel lately? its nowhere near as bad as amd and it's fine.

That's a bit out of my budget though, this is what I've got, swap the 380 for a 480 when it's released:

Total Price: £559 plus a case from a different site which is about £40 = £600
