For some reason the Gsync monitors are IPS panels (better than TN panels) and cost a lot more. ^^

So what happens if I don't use a gsync monitor and use the one listed in the first post? the monitor ain't even gonna turn on? or just have horizontal screen tears every now and then?

It will work fine. It just won't have the benefits of Gsync.

Here are the 144Hz Gysnc, 27" 2560 x 1440 monitors on Newegg...some are IPS some are TN...all are expensive...

are you talking about Acer XG270HU 144Hz 27.0" Monitor ??

Thats what I listed in the first post and its not a 1080p monitor
