he had it built for him for christmas haha

so i went on that cpu benchmark website

8320 vs 4690k and 6600k

they were about the same in every category with intel being obviously better, except in the 7zip category (whatever that is) with amd being better than both

but the 4790k blows the amd into the fucking ground holy shit lol

so maybe ill just swing for 4790k/extreme4 and then down the road upgrade my gpu

question though

i know a $1000 gpu can bottleneck a $100 cpu, but can it also happen the other way around? a $350 cpu with a $150 gpu?

you buy a gpu to match your monitor/resolution and games/expected fps

you buy a cpu based on work loads

if you dont plan on running editing/rendering software your 8320 will be just fine

either way you should be find for what your wanting your basically upgrade for no reason tho if you plan on playing lower end games
if you move up to triple A titles then yes the gpu will be the weak point
(bottlenecking is such a terrible term lol)

then yes intel is the best path
am3+ socket is dead

could wait for am4 but i dont have high hopes lol

but to answer your question about the gpu
youll be fine with the 270 (for current gaming) and upgrade later when you get into photo editing/playing newer titles
