TN has color shift, where if you bob your head around at all, it will fuck up the colors.

You're using a 60hz, He's buying a 60hz.. So that point is moot for his choice atm.

IPS > at 60hz

IPS 144hz > TN 144hz

I'm just waiting for some nice refresh rate OLED monitors to launch.

And making statements like "tn all the way for gaming" when you haven't even experienced IPS is just silly.

like Rikuo said, only downside of IPS monitors are faster refresh rates at a cheap affordable cost,
which is negligible in this case, since the OP isn't looking to buy a monitor to go pro competitive on a FPS game.

IPS is the way to go for sure...

I ordered the ROG Swift PG278Q for $665... TN panel, was nice... Then i saw the PG279Q was in stock... IPS... Returned the PG278Q and got my $665 back and paid $800 for the PG279Q IPS.

Go ips. Dont be cheap over $20.

My screen has 2 long scratchs down the middle about 4 inchs and half inch wide, My brother dropped this monitor on the cement when he was giving me it.

I will not be disappointed in anything i think lol, Vibrant colors was never a issue to me, Hence being color blind in 1 eye.
