Yea sorry like she literally just told me as you posted

Looks awesome

I have a question though, because im not super concerned with boot up speeds and whatnot, would it be better to drop the SSD and upgrade the i5 to an i7?

Or would I need to run the SSD on this build, (im not very smart about SSD

upgrading to an i7 doesn't make too much sense unless you're looking at virtualization/photoshop/CAD and other renderers and video editors which it doesn't seem that you are.
if you're concerned about the state your hard drives are in, you can drop the SSD and get a 1tb western digital caviar blue for the same cost (roughly) as the ssd in those links

Also, keep in mind that the vid cards I listed will not run ark smoothly on epic settings, the game is still in alpha and as such, expect frame rate drops with new areas and all that jazz that comes with alpha games :P

That being said, both cards probably (dont quote me, im not developing the game ;) ) will run it at those settings with blur turned off

I went a slightly different route with another idea, I dropped the intel for amd to boost more into the graphics, it costs a little bit more but I used most of your build and went off there.

Pros and cons of this build?

Pros and cons of this build?

You are kind of wasting a lot of money on stuff that does not effect performance is is not needed at all.
Why do you need a 200$ main board with 3 grafic card slots? (about 110$ to be saved)
850 Watt PSU for a r9 390 is not needed (about 40$ to be saved)
Why such an expensive case? (about 40$ to be saved)

With that money you could easly get a next tier grafics card.

Future upgrades, I was worried about the cooler and gfx card room inside the case so I was playing it safe

edit- mobos confuse me still honestly

I would get Intel CPU, and ones are 4 years old with rebrands on top of rebrands, with no architectural improvements

Skylake build, one that I recommended is what I would get. You can even get a cheap gpu (and 380 or gtx 960 or gtx 750 ti) and get a more powerful gpu down the road, so that you can get the aesthetics you want now, instead of later. Then all u would have to do is get a gfx card when you're not satisfied with graphical performance :)

Upgrade to what? 980 Ti 3 way sli?
I simply think your build is wasted money. 95% percent of the people who "upgrade" their computer in a couple of years simply put a new grafics card in. With that in mind i cant agree on your hardware choices. Nevertheless everybody is allowed their own opinion.

My opinion on 1100$ PC? -> https://pcpartpicker.com/user/maulepan/saved/
And I also have enough room for upgrades. (I7 6700, second grafics card, new grafics card as soon as the next generation is there... )

I wouldn't spend $1100 on a p/c that i couldn't overclock
