Like someone said before amd is better at multiscreen and atm the 390x is to par with the 980 (i think its about 10% slower then the TI's), so why not crossfire two 390x or 295x2? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dbZYas_BTlE

Amd cards are more bang for your buck but sli 980's would kill any amd cards. i also know you should spend around 40% of your PC budget on your gpu but that might only be for budgets under $1,500 lol. For cpu I'd probably stick to Intel but more cores is far better for multitasking (I feel like this could be important for 3 monitors but I myself am not too sure).

on a side note I'm a big fan of 144hz monitors but idk if you could even dish out that much fps on 3 monitors that are larger then 1080p with newer generation of games.

Although I am a novice as well so what do I know.

This is what I put together.

The monitors are the biggest ambiguity, so i just chose 3 27 inches that were of good quality and maxed your hardware for it.
3x 1080p monitors is basically 4k + half of 4k (since 1x 1080p monitor is half of a 4k display)
1 980 ti struggles to do 4k for many modern titles, so i opted for a dual 980 ti.
I also opted for the i7 and some fast ddr4 ram, because thus far, Fallout 4 has run better on an i7 (over an i5) and actually benefits from faster ram speed (from what I've researched)

AMD video cards would be optimal in this situation.

4k is 4x 1080p but at 16:9 ratio

if using surround/eyefinity with 3x 1080p its less but at 16:3 ratio,

amd or nvidia do eyefinity or surround the same

nvidia has shit more sli profiles if using dual cards

amd you can alternate frame if you cant find a crossfire profile

I figured sli 970s or a single 980Ti would be fine , no? Idk , like I said I'm not experienced :(

Fallout 4, witcher 3, far cry, Minecraft, rocket league, league of legends, diablo, etc.. Most intense games being FO4 and Witcher 3

P.S Hi Mel :)

Ty :)

Hi :)

You're really better off getting one really nice gaming monitor and then getting 2 secondary monitors for multi tasking, etc. The graphics power you'd need to run like Witcher 3 over 3 monitors isn't worth it imo and some of the games listed later you wouldn't really get that much out of over 3 monitors.
