the new Zenbook has all that, but since its an ultrabook, its more expensive than you current budget

higher frequency = higher consumption

the i7-5500u is triple the consumption and only about +50% performance than the m-5y10 which is still way more powerful than what you need for the perfect hearthstone/runescape experience.

But i tend to do a fair bit at the same time, so, few tabs open, runescape going, and editing a document while listening to youtube and that 0.8 processors not gonna start to struggle?

I have a fx-6350 overclocked to 4.5 in my desktop just struggling to imagine what a 0.8 is like.

Battery life is not a top concern as long as i can say watch a movie on the bus without it dying on me.

It's 800MHz when you don't need the power and scales up automatically to 2GHz when you need it.

Just like how desktop processors have power saving mode too.

.8 is basically a massive underclock, the processor is made to run comfortably at 2ghz, it will lower power consumption massively when it isn't being utilized full

All intel processors do this, most AMD mobile procs can do something similar with Cool n Quiet and other such things, for instance my i7 is rated 1.9ghz but can boost to 2.4ghz, I cant imagine how much more energy efficient the M processors are

I wouldn't buy the M if you are going to be doing a lot of processor-intensive things such as graphic design, video editing, encoding, rendering, etc, otherwise it will work fine

DO NOT but a 17.3" screen, you will regret the utter lack of portability, 17.3" laptops are massive, take a lot of power, and are heavy, get something in the 13-15" range (I personally have liked the 13.3 and 14" models the best, and I have owned 10", 13.3, 14, 15, 15.6, and 17" laptops)

The acer i posted only really looking at the spec and price i was never heading to 17'3 my mom has one, my current is 13.3 and its plenty.

Good to know about the processors the 0.8 was definitely driving me way, particularly the the GPU on it too.

what about these Intel HD 5500 grahpics? is that tolerable as well or should i be looking for dedicated?

They are OK, enough to play games like d2, dota2, and many less graphic intensive games on low settings

I like the acer's price best obviously but some people have told me acers are less than reliable.
