this ..

i love my 8350 build .. side by side i can compete with my buddys i7 build and you cant notice the difference in load times or performance

and as long as you can rob non essential parts off an old pc .. i can build a fairly decent setup for around 800 - 1200 range

but im pretty anti intell .. so this is how i would start off as long as your not into massive overclocking.

if you want to overclock id go with a sabertooth board instead

this would be my optimal build for gaming if i had to rebuild mine .

right around 1000$ and it should slay .

id stick the SSD's on raid 0 bump the 8350 up to about 4.5 - 5ghz and let er rip

stack the tv on and i barely go over budget .. if you take build one .. im still on budget .

there he can keep his case lol

The fact that you say you need at least the h100i to run the 8350 says much about it.

It's a 100 dollar cpu cooler, which means you'll get up in the same price as the i5 for example.

And I can tell you the i5 with 212 cooler is better than the 8350 with h100i cooler

AMD ir seems has temperature and power consumption issues when compared to Intel/Nvidia. But they also have comparable or slightly better options for mugh less expansive.

Amd is not the AMD we once knew, they have become a true competitor and their products are no longer just simply lower priced goods that were not nearly as potent as their competitors.

And lol at an 8350 doing better than an i7...
