Yeah the strix does look nice, and its asus like you said.. should work well with my motherboard I assume.

Thanks again for the quick reply.

It's a very good GPU, but I wouldn't order from Superbiiz, I would order from NCIX US or Amazon or Newegg.

nothing wrong with ordering from smaller companies,
superbiiz been around for a while now, if it was a shitter or an unreliable company, it'd be gone or wont be on pcpartpicker list either.
i heard their shipping is pretty fast too.

Don't forget I live in Canada tho.. for example, the cheapest I can find for the strix gpu on amazon.ca is 449$, compared to 339$ on amazon.com.

I assume all the parts he put in were more expensive in Canada.. it adds up.

Edit: We get screwed like that.. don't ask me why. Atm the exchange on us money is superior.. so it makes sense, but it was still more expensive in Canada when our money had higher value than the us dollar.

Seeing the feedback i'm getting, its obvious that I should have asked you guys first.. I honestly didn't think about it.

I paid around 2k in canadian money ( 1800$ american at the time ) for the tower and a 24'' Lg monitor a couple months ago.

Budget for upgrade.. well, I'd be ready to pay for a gpu that would be optimal with my setup to play poe.. but probably not over 400$-500$.

Power supply: Cooler master 550W, Model #550-pcar-n1

I know its not.. I was just saying that you probably based your estimate on the us market.

I also got more than what's listed in my op, I just posted what I thought was necessary to get feedback on my pc.

I don't really feel like getting into an argument about how much I got screwed by that shop tho.. I don't really care about that, I came here to get some feedback as to why I couldn't run poe like I was hoping to, and people here have been really helpful to me.

I'l repost once I have the new gpu setup to see if it worked.

Edit: typo

Sup guys.

I know its been a while since I posted this but I'm sure the people that helped me should still lurk these forums :)

After working away from home last few months, I finally put in the Asus gtx970 a few days ago, so here's the promised feedback..

Its awesome!

After a few days of playing, I don't think i've seen my fps drop below 59.. even when playing my barrage coc witch, or my Ts ranger.

So yeah i'm now fully ready for the upcoming expansion!

So thanks again for your advice.
