So actually I'm debating now between R9 290 vs GTX 970. Does amd really still have driver issues? Because I hate dealing with that stuff which is why I always went nvidia. Also is it too got because the non-reference 290 seems okay.

i got a non reference 290 works great. post the models for each company ill tel, u witch one to take

to answer your first question, prolly yes. Nividia would be my choice in most every situation due to the fact of the driver support nvidia has

i mean i like nvidia drivers over amd but amds improved alot tbh ive used alot of both.
