I'm just giving my opinion dude never said I had the perfect solution

I'm always open to revision and improving

Instead of saying bad advice you could simply say I found a cheaper just as efficient upgrade without the need of new PSu and cheaper efficient cooler

Joe in this subforum.. if you are giving bad advice you will be called on it.. so users who come here looking for builds and information.. aren't reading the bad advice and assuming its good. PCs cost a lot of money and the regulars here, including myself, make sure people don't waste their hard earned money on bad advice..

Bad advice is subjective.

My opinion anyways

I know he can run off the 500 watt just talt if he wanted leg room a new PSU would help.

I'm always about possibilitys but yeah your solution is more cost efficient

once again you throw out the subjective card. how fucking stupid can you be. let me break it down for you:
bad build = more expensive, unwise part decisions
how is wasting someone's money subjective?

an opinion is subjective, don't get why you're throwing that card out?

a GOOD build can be "subjective", if you want to be a moron about it
once again, why the fuck you throwing that card out there?

you don't know shit, lack experience, and claim to be a tech consultant

hey xavier, i hear you have nice wheels bro B)

Wow.. why the fuck are you suggesting a 750w psu joe... his 500w can run a 970... especially if its running a 660...

970 uses less power than the 660...
Why suggest the over priced SSD
Why suggest a evo 212 if he isn't ocing... tx3 is perfect for non OCers but thats personal prefer
Don't give bad advice =\

OP get another brand over zotac on the 970... 30$ vs better warranty and customer service....

Here is my suggestion to you..

Here is my suggestion to OP its only 503$ and so yeah..

Thanks for the help haha.
I will stop by canada computers today see what they have in stock, save some time for shipping.
As for the PSU, it will be upgraded eventually but for now im pretty sure it's still fine for the build.

Also thanks for the explanation on graphic card. I prefer paying a little more and have better customer service and warranty.

I'll update you guys later today.

They had the 970 EVGA in stock and they pricematched it so I couldn't resist.

The only ssd's there were at least 129$, no model to price match at a lower price.
They had no cpu coolers in stock either.

Any tips before I unhook everything to plug this beast in?
Should I worry about any drivers before i unhook everything or just plug and play?
Thanks again for the help fellas

Download DDU from Guru3d (http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html) and use it to uninstall your current graphics driver.
Power off the system and swap the graphics cards.
Boot back up and download/install the new driver.
