Upgradeability? --> Yes, to another FX, so again --> No.
OC capabilities? --> Yes, but not with the stock cooler for sure. And it would take a decent chip and more than mild overclocked to outperform the i3.

At least add a TX3 or something similar to your build.

Well rounded build, SSD for speed but you can drop it for a stronger GPU, but the card should fair fine with most titles at high-ultra 1080p.

He seems to be on a very tight budget and we don't know whether that'll change drastically in the future.
That + a better IPC for next gen Intel CPUs and Intel's general route away from high overclocks make a Z-board seem like a waste of money to me, especially in that price range.

Okay, final Intel build here:

In general I'd go with an AMD build as well... but AMD FX-8320 & AM3+ offer zero upgradeability in the future compared to LGA1150 / i3. Also, that Intel CPU performs better in almost all AAA titles in FHD (which should be the reference for an R9 285 ImO).
