ok have checked the manual, I see no hard steps in it. Are you sure you're using the correct parts for the installation?


i can probably get it with a bit of force, but i'm gonna have to go with the stock because it blocks two ram slots.

Those are pretty high in profile.

I think you're afraid of breaking something. It's because they are gonna sit perfectly plate to plate between cpu and cooler.

well about 10 minutes ago i just used the stock cooler, i'm going to get a new cooler soon.
had to force the lever down, i am quite fearful of breaking something. spent over 1000$ on these parts lol.

Yeah, that's the way it's supposed to be. I've installed lots and lots of coolers. They're all the same. They're gonna sit 100% perfect, that's why.

alright well not much i can do about it at this point. not until i get a less wide cooler.
moving on, will almost definitely run into more problems.

you shouldnt

the hardest thing i ran into was my 24 pin didnt wanna connect to my mobo, took forever to get that thing down.

rest of it was just legos

Aftermarket coolers take a bit of force to install from what I've read. Some people are hesitant but that's just the way it is. As long as you're applying even pressure and not pushing down on something without support behind it, you'll be fine.
