I'll just stick with the 750ti to be on the safe side then..

If I spend a little extra on a better card the need to buy a power supply may come sooner rather than later.

i highly suggest you change your psu before anything. with the $80 you have left from your budget, you can spend $50 on a reliable power supply and not need to worry about it any more.

Also can anyone give me a hand with a rundown on how exactly to setup a second monitor?

I'm not 100% sure on how exactly to install a power supply to be 100% honest.

Nor do I know anyone in the general area who can.

That kind of leaves me at a lose/lose

And what psu would you recommend if it's necessary.

you just plug it into the video card. go to your display settings to arrange orientation and position

Guess i'll have to try and figure this out lmao

i edited my previous post with a power supply. its fairly easy. just remember what you unplug when you remove the first power supply and just plug everything back with the new power supply. there are videos on youtube as well

I had to replace my psu like a month ago.. just unscrew it from case if it's screwed in

follow wires going from psu and unplug everything, make sure you don't miss anything hooking it back up

honestly isn't hard at all

looks good. if you want a video card that can overclock a bit, you can get this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121855

I don't really know how to overclock things

I've basically always just had my uncle do everything for me and he's no longer around so I'm kind of working with what I can here.

Also how do I go about hooking up a second monitor.. I don't really see any extra slots for a monitor on the back of the 750ti

Whereas the back of the card you noted has 2 extras.

That would require me to pick up an HDMI cable for a second monitor then I guess.

The one I use now I just use a DVI cable. Didn't know you could use just an HDMI to port a second monitor.

Also means i have to buy an HDMI monitor.

if your monitors dont have hdmi, you can buy adapters for the different ports
