On a tight budget they are awesome cpus.

Hm, I'm going to have to make a decision I guess if I actually feel like forking out the 250 or the 75..

Well the G3258s I've used 2 times now in builds for people that I know. The G3258's are powerhorses especially OC'd but they will game perfectly fine etc. They do struggle a bit if you are trying to stream your gameplay but that is to be expected on a 75$ cpu.. but for standard gaming with music/videos at the same time it works like a charm. IMO It's better than the 760k on AMD's side...

Honestly Id go with the one funion listed.
But you got a budget to include the i5 so of course we are going to go for that.

Thanks Funion for the overview she won't be streaming her gameplay, I'll probably read some more reviews regarding it as I have never tested lower grade CPU's as I have a lot of budgets in place because my car insurance bill is a lovely $475 per month.

Thanks Robert I'll see what I feel like doing in the end, always looking to learn more about the uncommon CPU's

There are other reasons for getting 4 cores outside of just streaming

If you're looking for a $500 budget setup, definitely go for the G3258 and OC it. But if you list a budget of $650, expect people to offer the best quality you can get for that price. :p

Funions build is good, but pay the extra $10 for Crucial MX100, SanDisk doesn't even compare.

I never do high budget builds a I can't justify a $500+ GPU for my needs, most I will spend is 300ish, although as an emerging accounting enthusiast we don't really need high end computers, and for personal reasons I don't really play anything that needs high end GPU's

290, 260 after rebate - R9 290 - http://www.ncix.com/detail/xfx-radeon-r9-290-980mhz-17-93752-1053.htm?affiliateid=7474144
370 - GTX 970 - Little better performance and Physx - http://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX53848

You could also get a R9 290x @ a tad cheaper and slightly better or equal to the 970

Don't think the R9 would fit in either case to be honest if it did it'd be really tight
