Kid, there are tons of benchmarks out there that show either the 3570k or the 8350 being better than the other.

That said, Kid, for the price, the 8350 would suffice for gaming purposes.

Sufficient doesn't equal to "better than"
I didn't say I could see a difference between them with the same card anywhere but the numbers don't lie. Why chose FX if it's worse (even if not dramatically, it still is), very power hungry thus overclocking requires powerful mobo + beefy cooler?
And get your facts straight kid:
http://www.anandtech.com/show/6396/the-vishera-review-amd-fx8350-fx8320-fx6300-and-fx4300-tested/5
http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/2012/11/06/amd-fx-8350-review/6
FX comes near i5 in BF3 and D3 out of those tests, it loses everywhere else by a singificant or huge margin
It gets beaten in Crysis 2, Starcraft2, Far Cry 3, F1 2010, Shogun 2 and many many others
So cut the bull$hit
And there is no college in my country, educational wise it's much better than usa/uk/aus

And Kid, if you can tell me you could honestly tell a 3570k rig from an 8350 rig with the naked eye, then, Kid, you're a fucking liar.

Kid.

I love how you left this part out.

8350 will be better when BF4 takes advantage of more cores. Along with GTA5 and other new releases coming soon.
Honestly either way you go, you'll have a great gaming experience. I would get a 7850 GPU to go along with either of those CPU's btw ;)

i'd rather get a 8320 for ~20$ less & get a hyper 212+/evo and overclock it if i need the performance boost or just keep it running cooler then a 8350
who would get something under a 7850 anyways for a respectable gaming computer? :p

Thanks for all the replies! I've truly learnt alot!

Basically, from what I can understand, for an absolute cheatskate Building PC I would go with AMD? Coz its cheaper, and is only used for gaming.

Yes?

Do not listen to caezium, please.

The 8350 in the links he posted performs above 60fps in nearly all the benches at stock and even better at a slight oc.

These were at 1050p so 1080 may be a little lower.

Factor in the 8350 is a little cheaper, and then the overclocking platform you can get is substantially cheaper, this makes the 8350 more at home in a 700$ budget.

Cooling is not a problem, you can use a hyper 212 evo to the same effect, no overheating.

Power, in the long run in the united states, would cost about 10$ a year.

Going 8350 route is not a cheap out, it is an alternative. Going to an apu/hybrid crossfire is cheaping out.

.

Jesus, yes it does- check what card has been used and also look at the numbers next to all the i5s
FX would be a good choice strictly for rendering, video editiing- where it trully shows better performance than i5s.
If you can afford it, take i5k + decent mobo, if you can't afford it, or you would have to chose worse card- go amd...
Simple as it

You just don't know when to quit do you?

I bet you don't have any friends afk because you're stubborn, and wrong 90% of the time.
