is it normal for these computers to not have a cpu cooler? wouldn't that be kind of necessary?

unless the processor is OEM, it comes with a heatsink.

if you plan on making ONLY d3 computer, its better if you go 1156 i3 socket, because than you can OC 4.5.

1156 dead if u get proper board u can get ivy n upgrade also old i3's r meh at best
