cuz they were 64$ each with free shipping, low power, high output (780 core clock / 800+ memory clock / 320 stream prcessors)
i have them both OC to 800 core clock and 850 memory clock and the stay cold and run perfect.. not bad for 64$ rofl..
as for processor its just a 3.0ghz athlon x4, i read if u got good cooling you can OC to match the power of and i7 960, so it did just that and the core temps only went up from 17c to 20c rofl... i can prbabaly crank it alot more if i wanted to... not bad for a 100$ vs the assload a i7960 costs..
i DO prefer intel and nvidia over amd/ati.. but the massive price difference made me give it a shot for the first time, and so far im glad i made the switch. been running this setup for about 2 weeks without a single issue and not even the slightest hint of lag at anytime...
AMD makes good Graphic cards. But a 960 is way better than an athlon, even at 4GHz for the athlon the 960 would beat it at 2.6GHz or so.

Your memory is not running at 2000mhz. Athlon are horrible processors with no l3 cache. There is no way an athlon is going to even come close to an i7 960. You also have the wrong impression about hard drives. The reason new ones are purchased is that they have fasted read/write speeds, quicker response, higher cache, and less chance of failure.
I run 2133MHz RAM.
