Yeah, is there another good way to do Windows dev on a Mac?

If not, I may just get the Zephyrus G16.

It's pretty much the G16 or MPro M5 Max.

you can install windows in VM eg. vmware, but it will be absolutely terrible on M5 because windows ARM is a sad useless joke. Also gaming on mac is way worse than on windows or linux, there is no steam proton there.

I'm gonna say in your case mac will not be a good choice. It has its strengths but developing for windows is not it lol.
But really look at my picture on the first page, its very lightly used G14 (pretty much only around PoE seasons) and already looks like that :(

I would suggest checking out system76 too, especially Oryx line if you want powerful gpu, or others for more professional work. Like the Framework, they too are repairable

What's MSI's thinnest gaming laptop?

No idea, but just found this for 3000 € on amazon

MSI Stealth A16 AI+ A3XWIG-033FR : AMD Ryzen™ AI 9 HX 370 - LPDDR5X 32GB - SSD 2TB - Nvidia RTX 5080 16GB - 16' QHD+240Hz,OLED- Windows 11 Pro

Think it's azerty keyboard version so pick a querty version if necessary

Seems like one of the thinnest, can't tell if it's the most but the use of lpddr5 Ram means it's really Thin, they use lpddr5 in steam decks (16Gb lpddr5)
