As an ultrawide user I can only say you should definitely go for it!!! Most games nowadays support ultrawide and if they don't there's either an easy fix (e.g. the program flawless ultrawide which lets you choose the game you play and will make ultrawide work immediately) or you don't get ultrawide support but then you just got the equivalent of a 16:9 monitor for those games with no further downsides. And the games that do support ultrawide are just sooo much better with 21:9 compared to 16:9, it is not even close.
