This is over your remaining budget of $750 CAD.

If this is too much, you can switch the following:

  • AMD 5800X to AMD 5600X
  • X570 motherboard to B550 motherboard

made this list for you

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/tY43rr

Using USD (1004 CAD). Some of these parts can be changed as you see fit though.

Specifically the memory, RGB is a bit more expensive also Crucial and G-Skill are good options. For AMD 3600 is sweet spot, especially for zen 3, but can go with 3200 if you must.

If you want to drop down 1 gen, the AMD Ryzen 5 3600 is a solid chip. And should be for a while yet.

As far as cooler goes, that's really a personal preference. I prefer AIO cooling, but you can still OC with a good Air cooler as well. This being a good one https://www.scytheus.com/fuma2

To be as completely honest as possible, you SHOULD upgrade your case as well. The Corsair 4000d and Fractal design Meshify C are 2 of the best "budget" cases right now. Easy to build in and worthy of being high end

Mobo's are really based more on what you plan to do with it. I plugged in the one I run. Personal thought is "I'd buy it again if I had to". But pretty much any b550 or better from MSI/ASUS/AsRock are good.

M.2 for your boot disk is the only way to go anymore.

new list with a few "cheaper" parts
