i have a 75 Hz monitor to go with my laptop at the moment, but i plan to use that as 2nd monitor and buy a better one with next month salary because im broke right now after this PC purchase :D

Thats my current one https://www.x-kom.pl/p/361250-monitor-led-24-lg-24mp59g.html#Specyfikacja

I was kinda hoping to get a widescreen (21:9) but to be honest i havent done any research yet what to look for and what my setup can support.

But dont really want to spend another 500E for a monitor so we will see about this widescreen fantasy

Yup, that monitor looks pretty dated, time to buy one with 1440p
Not so sure about widescreen though because most programs do not utilize 21:9 much.

If your main purpose is to watch movies, then 21:9 is the way to go. However if you are gaming, I would recommend to keep at 16:9.

I dont watch movies on PC, purely gaming and sometimes coding/everyday purposes

I mostly play:
- World of Warcraft
- LoL

and will play
- D2 resurrected
- D4
- Ashes of Creation

Its just WoW looks so sick in 21:9

In my own opinion, I would recommend 144HZ 1440P, that should be the best balance for RPG such as Diablo.
Also 1440P would work great with high res movies too.

I don't agree that you need a high refresh rate for Diablo. I think 60 fps is good enough for D2R or D3.

Perhaps if you were playing first person shooter games like Overwatch and CSGO, I'd then say go for 144Hz. But for role playing games like D2R or D3, 144Hz is a nice to have on the elite sense.

Same with MOBA type games, 60 fps or 60Hz is good enough.

then again why buy a PC that allows you XXX FPS if you are going to trim it down with a 60fps capped monitor

x2.
If you have the cash and want to be fancy go for it, but it's really unnecessary

I think his point is, you don't need the gfx card either

I thought the context of the discussion in the last few posts was along the lines of "which monitor should I buy as part of the future upgrade". To which you're good sticking with the same monitor for another few years or even longer if you're playing the same type of games (role playing games).

What's the purpose of getting a RTX 3060 now? Let's look at it the other way, what other video cards are available to purchase new considering the shortage? There's an RTX 3000 series shortage where people start buying RTX 2000 series. Now there's a RTX 2000 series shortage where people are buying GTX 1600 series.

Am I missing something here in your questions?

I switched from 60hz to 144hz for rpg games such as PoE, the difference is really noticeable.

Every fight are just way smoother imo.

Got my pc few days ago and been no life playing on it ever since :D
I'm in love.

It doesn't have any RGB, no light inside at all actually, i'd like atleast a bit so the i can see the new parts shining in front of my eyes when they are new.
Without replacing like all the fans to rgb fans, what should i buy and where to attach it for some color?
