I’ll go 512 or 1 TB if it’s just a little bit more. OS drive has to be the NVME right ?

Get a 500GB NVMe for the OS. NVMe drives are about 7x faster than a 2.5" SSD.

/e OS drive doesn't HAVE to be NVME. Moist people go that route though for the speed.

What are the odds of these parts failing especially the graphics card ? Should I buy an extended warranty on it if I bought from Best Buy ?

Is it even worth it for a ti? I don’t mind the money aspect, but I’m scared for it to crap out and I’d be out the initial investment.

Vid cards have a 3 year warranty from the manufacturer, for free.

Vid cards pretty much last forever, if you keep them dust free, and don't go insane with overclocking them.

/e Stick with a decent company for vid cards. EVGA, ASUS, MSI... etc.

I already pulled the trigger on some items. just missing processor, gfx card, and cpu cooler.

EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G3, 220-G3-0750-X1, 80+ GOLD, 750W - $162.70
Intel 660p Series M.2 2280 512GB PCIe NVMe 3.0 x4 3D2, QLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) SSDPEKNW512G8X1 - $64.99 + taxes
G.SKILL TridentZ RGB Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3600 (PC4 28800) - $174.99 + taxes
MSI MPG Z390 Gaming PRO Carbon AC LGA1151 - $229 + taxes
Cougar CONQUER ATX Gaming Case - $269 + taxes

$967.83 for all above, probably another $1700ish to go..

for gaming you are not gonna notice a difference between nvme or sata ssd, unless u have them side by side or have a stop watch on hand

excuse him, he talking about tech he's never owned or used.
Kinda his thing, that's why there's so many assumptions on his part.
or just googling for an answer...

I remember not to long ago how much shit he'd give me for telling people they don't need 2x 8pin connectors for their mobo

Amusing. I said most people use an M.2 drive for the OS because they are faster. Somehow you translated that to boot time and games... according to your video.

However... https://www.guru3d.com/articles-pages/samsung-970-evo-plus-nvme-m-2-(1tb)-ssd-review,1.html

Guess your video...suxxors. ^^

tbh i was just clarifying to the OP that he most likely will not notice a difference between them for what he wants to do, and showing him the video evidence o_O

Mainly going to be playing a ton of CSGO + FN + diablo 4 (when its out).

Looks like a gaming pc to me.

From your own link....

Concluding
The new EVO PLUS mostly offers improved write speeds. For the tested 1TB model if we compare the 970 EVO and 970 EVO PLUS, that's a 100 MB/sec on reads, but a substantial 500 MB/sec on writes. That metric won't bring anything noticeable for your game PC other than bragging rights.
