Need a laptop for work purposes but of course, secretly its main purpose will be for gaming!

can choose amongst this list:

what is the best value for money there? keep in mind these are AUD prices, and Australia is a lot more expensive for this type of stuff than other countries, unfortunately that's just what it is :( but this is the best website for computer purchases

budget $2500aud at the very most.

Its actually very similiar price its just that 1 usd = 1.50 aud and that fucks us

Logic behind decision

1660ti is good enough to play the games you want now - 2060 is vastly superior and doesn’t cost a significant amount more - I assume you’d like to keep this laptop like 3-4 years ... spend 200 more

Intel is inferior to Ryzen right now - that’s just facts - none of their processors are even close in terms of value ( single core they have a slight edge , but factor in workstation and multi core and then price point and it’s a blowout )

Dammit, was hoping their would be one consensual opinion on a laptop, now i'm stuck with varying options and don't know what to do.

Considering your goal was value per dollar it isn't vastly superior... Its actually a worse value per dollar then my option.
Both technically work but I did what you stated which was "what is the best value for money there?"

Additionally don't think for a second the 2060 is future proof as the user claimed either.
Also Intel is not "inferior" as he stated, if gaming performance is your objective then Intel still beats AMD.
