You've completely missed one of the most CPU intensive tasks: Computer programming (compiling).
Aside from that: Audio manipulation is incredibly CPU intensive as well as photo editing and video editing.

Re-encoding videos and/or modifying the container type is another biggie.

This is barely scratching the surface, though. CAD design will take a huge performance gain from this.

At no point did he mention he plans on doing any of those.
