It's not bad, but for the price of 2 1080's, you could just buy a 1080ti and achieve the same gaming performance and not have any hassle of SLI whatsoever.

I had stutter issues in a lot of games sadly.

I don't even know how gtx 1050 SLI would work without the possibility of the psychical SLI bridge.

If I'm not mistaken, anything below the 1070 doesn't have the firmware to communicate with other GPU's. I've never looked into it with the lower cards tho, so I can't say from experience.
