1070 would be overkill at 1080p 60 fps. Yes prices are still inflated, not going to go away any time soon tho.
250 is fine as long as you aren't storing your documents and stuff on there, use the mechanical disk for that. Games and applications in general run significantly better on a SSD because of the incredibly faster read times.
The 1600 will be fine for gaming for a while as long as you aren't going for over 100 fps. If you do any workload stuff (media editing, streaming, etc) you could upgrade to an R7 for the additional cores, otherwise upgrade the board to an x370 and get a aftermarket cooler and push some nice overclocks on the 1600.
The 1060 is not a full board card, and doesn't use enough power to warrant spending an extra $40 on a second fan for the card imo. As long as you have good case temps in general, you won't have an overheating issue.
The hardware in this system, even pushed hard, should never use more than that PSU can put out.
IMO, if you wanna spend more money, look into a nicer mouse/keyboard/headset if you don't have them yet. It may not net a performance improvement on you're games part, but it can make it more entertaining to play those games.

Thanks for your advice.

I'll stick to the 1060, definitely staying 1080p... more of a casual gamer than super dedicated. I'll throw D2 and Sc1 on the SSD as well, 250gb is quite alot. Anything else sounds like it's on the HD.

I live in an apartment that gets quite dusty easily...so if I am not as regular with cleaning, the extra fans might be helpful? (are you saying his build has two, and yours one?).

Cheers guys, going on vacation and will start to look at pricing and ordering near the end of it. Might see if I can bundle from a supplier for slightly more (convenience factor).

Only thing that will help with dust is less airflow through your computer, but that in turn means more heat and faster wear on the components. My recommendation is just get a case with dust filters in the front and on the bottom for the PSU, you can pull em out and clean them just as easily as a lint filter in a clothes dryer.
As for the extra fans on the actual graphics cards (not to be confused with case fans), it's honestly a gimmick IMO because the 1060 just can't use enough power to need that much cooling provided you're case temps themselves aren't super high, in which case it won't matter.

This is decent.

Comes with dust filters, and the cable management is sufficient.

What case was it?
And what build did you end up going with (so we know the case can accommodate all the components).
Popular ones I would recommend off the top of my head are:
-NZXT S340 (regular and elite)
-Phanteks p30 and p400 (p400 just has more space for hard drives (if you are running like 4+) or custom liquid cooling
-Fractal Design Define C or Meshify C (mini versions as well if you have a mATX mobo)

They all have dust filters for PSU and front fans, PSU shroud for cleaner cable management, and overall good build quality.

I got this as a warning... I've only got one SSD and one HD, so it should be ok?

> The Fractal Design - Core 2300 ATX Mid Tower Case supports video cards up to 380mm long, but video cards over 200mm may block drive bays. Since the MSI - GeForce GTX 1060 6GB 6GB GT OCV1 Video Card is 243mm long, some drive bays may not be usable.

Ended up going with this case; https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16811854029 - Looks like it has better dust filters and roomier for cable management

Thanks all for your recommendations and advice. I'll post a finished pic once done :)

That warning was talking about the hard drive cages on the bottom at the front. It would only be a problem if you were for some reason running like 3 gfx cards that hung down that low.
Regardless, the p400 is a nice case, should treat you well.
