Dual fan vs single fan? Single fan smaller 6 gb I can get for about 269. Dual fan bigger 6 gb, cheapest is $289. What are differences?

Go for the 6gb.. More games nowadays are using more video ram.

Example, BF uses just under 3gb for 1080p. You want more headroom

I'd personally do dual fan cause apparently better cooling

Can you recommend one of these 2:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01L9K8X26/ref=mp_s_a_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1514779663&sr=8-9&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=gtx+1060&dpPl=1&dpID=51QLz1wQfYL&ref=plSrch

Or

Both are 1060 6 gb dual fan, both factory overclocked. I don't want to mess with overclocking myself but like the idea of them being overclocked.

289$ one imo

1797 MHz is negligible from 1809 MHz which is $21 more.. especially if u have a 60-75hz monitor

Also,

with my PoE lag, would it be possible my lag problem isn't my GPU? Would it be CPU based? My current CPU is i5-3570k 3.4 ghz.

And between those 2 video cards I listed above, one is PNY and one is ASUS. Would brand matter in this case? If not, it sounds like the PNY $21 savings is worth the 12 mhz drop?

Yes, it's a negligible difference between them. Asus and PNY i have no idea about tbh

and yes, Path of Exile is very CPU intensive you should upgrade that CPU soon, but that's going to be expensive as fuck because you are now entering the realm of DDR4/new mobo

Would I be better off not upgrading my gpu and just upgrading cpu? Would this gpu (HD 7970) be fine if I had a new cpu?

The GTX 1060 6GB is a no-compromise GPU for 1080p gaming. The 7970 is not, and that situation will only degrade more as time moves forward.

Yes, worth the upgrade.

I'd upgrade the GPU now and you'll see noticeable performance. Then in the future, upgrade your CPU.

You'll see a more noticeable difference upgrading your GPU instead of the CPU. Your CPU is still very good, however, just not relative to the new ones out.. ;)
