It's iffy but It should handle it fine, but like mason said if he dropping the dough, why not just update it too?

Saying that the 212 is still a perfectly fine cooler, equates to me "being clueless af"? You make zero sense.

Ur always clueless af remember? Short term memory too. Seems like I have to constantly give you a refresher why you are clueless af all the time.

If evo 212 is perfectly fine, then there would be no reason for ppl getting over 80 to 90deg on load playing games nor upgrading if they plan to OC to its full potential.

It's iffy but It should handle it fine, especially if OP doesn't OC to its potential. Though, like mason said if he dropping the dough, why not just update it too? Other than extremely frugal reasons to save

Depends on the silicone still
Many 8700ks be prolly pushing 80s ez with 212 and heavy loads or avx
He's going to need to tweak the hell out of it though with that cooler unless he fine with high temps
My 8700k prolly be pushing 75 ez and mines about an average

U having a tough day? How does me saying it's iffy and handling it fine means I'm contradicting myself? It'll still work. But it's iffy. It's not gonna blow up his computer. It'll just be hot. If he's spending all that cash, might as well update his cooler and not worry about it at all. Then again, can't expect much from you. Stay clueless af, never change

Exactly but heat kills and can affect other components especially depending on airflow of case

"perfectly fine"

delusional af now.
if it was perfectly fine, there wouldnt be any problems, there wouldnt be ppl upgrading their cooler to keep their temps low on load, no issues whatsoever.

guess what just fine means though??? i mean i even added iffy to help ya out too
ur hmk for christmas today, lmk

and 212 is outdated budget shit, nobody nowadays would buy the 212 over the h7. Except you, because you probably thought you bought the h7 and it ended up being 212.
did u blk OC ur 2600 yet?

Got links and sites claiming the 212 can't handle a stock 8700k? Otherwise, you have no argument really. Just more ad-hominem attacks and babble
