After reading how hot these M.2 SSDs run, I can't see any point in using them other than as a great speed jump.

That WD Blue, just doesn't qualify IMO.

oh wow plz link this wd blue having heat issues


please tell me how he is going to push his ssd to full speed for long period of time? hes going to extremely benchmark it

All M.2 SSDs generate serious heat, a simple Google will prove this to you.
If there is no speed advantage, why add more heat to an enclosure.

oh really so my sons 4690k, my 8700k and 4770k builds are suffering heat problems from m2

they offer warranties and it almost never happens
