youll have to spend almost double just to move up to a 1060 or a 480.

You should be fine on your CPU for awhile with the 1050 ti, but i'd buy an evo or another good 30 dollar cooler if you don't have one so you can OC it a little bit.

You will only have a 12% bottleneck between your FX-8120 CPU and the GPU listed above.

Everything has a slight bottleneck. Typically, you want to keep bottlenecks under 10%.
