use this
https://outervision.com/power-supply-calculator

then buy a bronze + psu by seasonic.

This website is retarded. It's telling me I need a 850w PSU. lmao

I use like 500w max.

Edit: Probably more like 450w.

OP should plug his parts in PCPP, use their estimate, and call it a day.

That's about right. Your PSU should only be drawing about 3/4 of it's max. That's where PSUs, do the best.
So if you have a 850W PSU and it's only drawing 600 from the UPS...that's good.

^ it's really up to you man.

You can cheap out and spend $30 on a psu, at the risk of getting rekt further or spend slightly more for actual quality stuff.
PSU is one of the things you should never cheap out on a build

i called my cousin to see if he would throw the pc together for me and was asking him about psu
he said hes likely got a 500-600w seasonic bronze he can give me that hes taken out of other pcs that have died but the psu is still good

so im likely getting a free quality psu and might put that $50 or so towards something else maybe a better case few extra fans maybe a 2nd ram stick
what does 4 core 2 logical per mean? is that like a fake 8 core? i might go upgrade to the 1500x

sounds good, if you got $50 extra to spend, i'd suggest you get the 1600 instead of 1500x. Especially cuz u don't plan on upgrading for a while.
