Intel controlled the market and inflated prices for the last 5 years while AMD did nothing. AMD recently released Ryzen which is very comparable to Intel's offerings and is much cheaper.

This is true and can't even handle a mild oc (have the 1700 chip and did it)

Literally everybody on r/buildapc and the Discord use stock cooler on the 1600 and 1700 and are hitting as high as 3.8 GHz.

At 3.3 ghz I was at ~60 degrees (during stress test)
