Well yeah liquid cooling is more for the aesthetics.
The z270 is for overclocking you will be able to get 15% more performance out of your CPU that way.
The 1070 and 1080ti is both from the same series (pascal).
I just feel like its kinda sad using a B250 motherboard with such highend components.

BTW what monitor will your be using?

Acer GN246HL is my main monitor
I'm not sure whether I really want to overclock, it makes components lose their warranty right?
Same series does not mean same performance, does it?
Sure thing I kinda get I need to take a better Mobo but I had the understanding that the main performance comes from CPU + GPU so I thought adding "the best possible options" would result in the best performance.

See my post about mobo

You can max any game with a 1070 @ 1080p

Sounds like you don't want an Intel processor then. That or you just like wasting money. The only reason Intel is still worth buying is for the overclock.

keep in mind, you're wasting A LOT of money going for 7700k if you arent gonna overclock and use it to its potential.
Also the 7700 would be a poor buy as well, and definitely would get even ryzen 1700 instead, especially if you plan on streaming your gameplay.
It's only poe so either CPU's will be overkill, just know that you're not getting most out of your money.

You guys are killing me, I'm so hesitant and indecsisive on what to buy. I have like 0 knowledge on whats best and what goes best with what.
I guess stating PoE has drawn too much attention. I want to play all games fluently obviously and also upcoming titles for the next 2-3 years without investing more (if thats even still possible at this point in time).
I don't plan on streaming, I dont do funky stuff like video editing/graphic designing.
The only reason I stated intel is because there seemed to be problems with AMD products and Path of Exile performance (and thats the BOTTOM LINE of what I want to be able to play without constant fps drops/stuttering like now).
I'm not against AMD at all but I don't want to spend a lot of money and have problems playing the single game I love and have been playing since beta (with other games in between).

So lets rephrase and start from scratch: What would be the best course of action? What would a good build look like for these demands (PoE now but future-proof)?

No I mean an Intel processor in general.

Buying a locked Intel processor is pointless altogether because Ryzen is the same price and better performance with a decent video card and fast RAM. Intel is only worth getting if you're gonna overclock the shit out of it.

Okay that looks a lot like the one I made before just with a Ryzen. Isn't the "cheap" mobo a problem here? Also wouldnt taking a Ryzen 1700 be better? Its still in my budget.

Ryzen is the better option. You were on the right track.

That motherboard is fantastic. ASRock and MSI are the best choices for Ryzen motherboards until the new microcode is tested and released by ASUS, Gigabyte, etc.

You can go 1700 if you want! Your call. I honestly don't think it'll make too much of a difference for you in what you plan to do.

E: Bigger HDD and nicer case are options.
