Ran great on my 8350
the 8350 is a quad core, not a dual core... I also don't know how far you got. I could comfortably finish Normal difficulty on a core2 quad which is obviously a lot slower than an 8350 but I wouldn't be able to even dream of doing a breach beyond white map even w/ no pack size. Even with an 8350 I would avoid parties like the plague.
im telling you OP, your cpu is what's causing the lags. I personally believe an i5-3570 at stock would perform fine in path, at least if you push endgame only as hard as i do. That said, there's no harm in going for a 3770k and ocing it as much as possible, but don't expect to be able to get away with anything. You could have a 7700k at 5ghz and still get this:
It's easy to look at the recommended specs for path of exile and come to the conclusion that an ivy bridge i3 would have no problems, but I think those of us that actually play it endgame know better.
Hell even a core2 duo is above the recommended spec and while I'm sure it's fine until Brutus, after that you'll start to feel the pain but it will be playable until Dominus's blood rain kills you via fps. I don't even want to imagine what Act 4 would be like.
