Her tax returns lol.
It SHOULD all be going to all the work im doing to the house, but I need to upgrade this POS laptop.

I was actually just looking at M.2 SSD. Never knew it was that much faster. I suppose it is, in fact worth it.

It's an sata m.2 not nvme m.2 ssd. So same performance as the regular version.

Yeah, I realized there was a bit more to it after researching some more... lol
Thanks for the info.

I ended up ordering everything.
Is there any misc hardware I should have on hand before assembling?

1] Do item i5 Stock CPU cooling come with Thermal Compound already applied? Do I need to purchase it by itself?
2] Are Stand-offs/spacers/risers (not sure on name of them) usually purchased seperately, or are extra sometimes required?
3] I'll probably purchase an Anti-Static bracelet, even though I won't be assembling on carpet. Any other things I need to be careful of? other than not forcing parts in for example?
4] Anything else you think I should know before attempting my first build?

1-3

You don't need any of that

4 if you're worried about static, install psu into case, plug psu into wall, make sure psu is powered off. Intermittently touch one of the unpainted screws on the psu to ground yourself
