hey caveman , is there anything else you can swap out to make it cheaper ? without removing the 1070. My friend told me 8gb ram was all thats really needed , any other components i can knock down ?
If you do need to cut it down without affecting the gpu you could always run off of a hdd. The performance increase from the ssd is going to be big though. You will be able to get away with 8gb ram if you would like, although I always prefer more, especially if you want to future proof a little like you are doing with cpu/gpu. (overclock/sli friendly).
Just like you could always choose the non k version of the I5.
You will take performance hits to make these changes however.
