The one for CPU power will be a 4+4 pin.

The vid card leads are 6+2 pin.

Som there are two kinds of cable that look like 8 pin...the 4+4 and the 6+2. Don't get them mixed up.

/e You absolutely have to have a lead from the power supply to the 8 pin just above the CPU socket.

One end of the cable will be either a 4+4 or a 6+2. Use the 4+4 one.

/e They both look just like a plain 8 pin, but if you look close....you can see where they break apart. Where they break apart, is how you know which cable, either 4+4 or 6+2.

All I have is 2 cables identified as CPU.

2x Those cables.

the thing is the 8pin part, that fits the 8 pin socket on the mb needs to be connected to the PSU.

and those 2x 4pin don't fit the 8pin socket over my cpu.

and where do i plug those 2x 4pin connectors also labeled as cpu? they should fit somewhere in my psu??

its the same cable btw..

I've got 2x those cables and all connectors are labeled as CPU.

Exact same cables.

According to your manual, there are TWO connectors above the CPU socket. You should use the 8 pin in the 8 pin connector AND the 4 pin in the 4 pin connector.

My brother has that case, it's a pain in the dick to clean but looks really good

just take your time building it, ask as many questions as you need.

It took me a little over 2 hours to build my pc when I switched to Intel from AMD and it was the most fun thing ever.

yeah i get that.

So i've got 2 cables. one i can plug the 8pin part into my PSU to the 4 pin connector as on the mother plan.

The other cable is exactly the same cable and it cannot be connected to the PSU and the the motherboard at the same time cause it has a 8 pin connector that goes to the powersupply

and the 2x 4pin connectors cannot be combined to fit the 8pin part cause they dont have squares in the middle, they seem to work with the 4 pin connector on the right tho.

but why do i have 2 cables exactly the same and not a single cable that fits the left connector.

I mean the 8 pin labeled as cpu fits the motherboard but then i would have 2x 4pins to connect to the psu and that doesnt work either.

e: wait you mean the CPU cable should be plugged on the motherboard on both ends? like it dosent need to be connected to the psu?
