I found a few used ones on Craigslist and rebuilt them with the kids they enjoyed it. Got a q6600 with 8gs of ram for free threw in a 760. Painted it all pink with some leds it's good enough for them

The guy had 4 systems listed for free one had the q6600 and had 4gs of ram I pulled the other 4gs out of one with a core 2 duo I have about 5 bucks in gas in it lol plus the 760. Plays all the games they want no problems plus letting them build it and paint it was a good experience

I've got one you can buy lol..... 250 isn't much of a budget, neither is 350, will got a little farther if you have an OS but still....

Then again, if it doesn't have to accomplish much you can likely do an onboard graphic machine with 8gigs of ram and a smallish HDD, buy a cheapy case that comes with a PSU and you will be solid

APU driven so graphics is bundled with the CPU, 8 gigs of ram, 250gb hdd, basic case and psu, basic DVD drive, all in your budget

For 350 you can bump up to an A10 APU and a bigger HDD, or go with a different processor and get a low end dedicated graphics, if its needed

Well i built a pc for less than that for my siblings

i3 550 - $8
Mobo - $35
Psu 430 watt sair - 15 after rebate (ar)
Gpu - used 750 ti - $65
ram - some stuff i had donated actually, but assume 30-40 for 8 gigs - $35
Case - free case i had, but assume any 15-25 AR case - $25 ar
120tb ssd - $40

$223 all said and done. youll probably need a few extra funds for something like a cooler (i had a spare intel stock) cause they dont come with used i3s.

this pc runs fallout 4 at ultra settings (not at 60 fps all the time, but 30+ all the time and sometimes even 60 in places like inside buildings).

so safe to say this pc will handle pretty much anything at reasonable levels.
